As our first cohort of bakers and entrepreneurs comes to a close, The Bakery Society of Pittsburgh will be taking a hiatus beginning on 9/1/19, as we work to relaunch with our next phase of culinary business training in Summer 2020. This means that all of the delicious products from our current cohort of Tenant Bakers will only be available for the next two weekends. We will be open for normal business hours Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the weeks of August 23 and August 30. We love the Mt. Oliver community, and we are so thankful for the support and encouragement we’ve received from our neighborhood and the entire greater Pittsburgh region. From the beginning, The Bakery Society Pittsburgh has been an experiment in bringing like-minded baking businesses together under one roof to perfect the art of baking amazing products and the craft of bringing these products to sale for public enjoyment. We are inspired, energized, and eager to set sights on refining our approach and deepening our impact as we strategize for a model that will benefit Mt. Oliver and the entrepreneurs we strive to support and develop. Our goal will be to work with new industry partners to evaluate and launch a refined program so that we can ensure our resources are used to help others reach their culinary potential and achieve their business dreams. Thank you for following along with our journey and stay tuned for what we’re baking up for the future!
